YOUR ITINERARY FOR:

THE BELMONT FARMHOUSE

Start your morning off with breakfast at Belle, which boasts house made breads and pastries in quaint downtown Belmont. We recommend one of their breakfast sandwiches and a coffee on the outdoor patio.

For a post-breakfast walk, kill two birds with one stone and get some shopping in, too. Start at Be Just for a curated selection of home goods and domestic supplies. Then make your way towards the Downtown Pedestrian Mall, where you can enjoy some leisurely window shopping. Keep your eye out for popular consignment boutique Darling x Dashing. By the time you get hungry again, head to lunch at classic French cafe Petit Pois

Spend the rest of your afternoon on a self-guided beer tour around Charlottesville. Start at Rockfish Brewing Company on the Mall for a pint, then walk over to South Street Brewery to visit the longest-running brewery and pub since 1998 for something on draft. Finish up at Champion Brewing Company.

Head back to Belmont for dinner at Mas and enjoy traditional Spanish tapas. Conceived by chef Tomas Rahal, this downtown Belmont restaurant emphasizes simple, well-made ingredients served in a casual neighborhood setting. Don't miss the bacon wrapped dates, patatas bravas, or the carne asada.

Start your morning with a historical tour at Thomas Jefferson's home of Monticello. To ensure your first choice of tour, be sure to purchase tickets online in advance.

For the rest of the afternoon, take advantage of your proximity to Virginia Wine Country and spend the day wine tasting. Book a driver through Albemarle Limousine ahead of time and customize your own wine tour. We suggest starting at Jefferson Vineyards for an excellent lineup of wines. Then head to Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard, which reimagines the tasting room experience with their weird and wonderful setting, known for its uniquely maximalist style and unexpected artwork. With a full kitchen, you can also consider this your lunch spot (alongside a glass of rosé, our favorite!). Finally, end your day of wine tasting at Eastwood Farm and Winery. Don't miss their Cabernet Franc and Blanc de Blancs Governor's Cup Gold Medal winners.

Head back to Belmont for pre-dinner drinks at Tavola's cicchetti bar, the craft cocktail bar and lounge known for its exceptional drinks (and if you're up for it, we highly recommend the beef tartare bar snack). Follow it with dinner at Conmole, a Oaxacan restaurant opened by Benos Bustamante.
